Rhizomatous aquatic perennial with submerged and floating leaves and emergent inflorescences and stems to 4m long.

Early Dec to late Jan. Monitor closely as mature seeds shed in 3-14 days.

Propagation

From seed using Bog method, cuttings or division of rhizome.

Land Protection

Useful in dams. Useful indicator plant for water pollution. May obstruct water flow in small streams/channels.
